Stare skladbe razkrivajo izjemno glasbeno nadarjenost bratov. Hitro postane jasno, zakaj so bili že kot mladi pogosto povabljeni na oder ob bok izvajalcem, kot so Curtis Mayfield, WAR, The Temptations, Ramsey Lewis, Stephanie Mills, Frankie Beverly & Maze, Mongo Santamaria in drugi. Leta 1972 so bili izbrani za predskupino na izjemno uspešni turneji Superfly Curtisa Mayfielda.

_____________________________________
For over five decades, the Wooten Brothers have been recognized as some of the most innovative musicians around. Together, they are considered one of the most talented and dynamic sibling groups in music history. The band consists of (from oldest to youngest): Regi on guitar and vocals, Roy on drums and vocals, Joseph on keyboards and vocals, and Victor Wooten on bass and vocals.
The Wooten Brothers continue to honor the memory of their brother Rudy, whose untimely passing in 2010 left the group without their “one-man” horn section. From a young age, Rudy was known for playing two saxophones at once, recreating the sound of iconic horn-driven bands like Earth, Wind & Fire, Chicago, Tower of Power, Blood, Sweat & Tears, and more.
They have toured worldwide while continuing to release collections of newly recorded original music alongside material from the ’70s and ’80s. Their sound blends past and present—jazz, funk, soul, R&B, and beyond—woven together in a way only the Wooten Brothers can deliver.
Their earlier recordings showcase the brothers’ remarkable musical talent and highlight Rudy’s extraordinary virtuosity on the saxophone. It quickly becomes clear why, even as young musicians, they were invited to perform alongside artists such as Curtis Mayfield, WAR, The Temptations, Ramsey Lewis, Stephanie Mills, Frankie Beverly & Maze, and Mongo Santamaria. In 1972, they were selected as the opening act on the hugely successful Superfly tour by Curtis Mayfield—Regi was just fourteen at the time, and Victor only five.
